85years old Baha’i prisoner banned of visit and phone call

 85years old Baha’i citizen, Mohammad Hussein Nakha’i, sentenced to 3 years in prison, is banned of visit and phone call with no reason.

Elderly Baha’i citizen, imprisoned from May 2012 in Birjand Prison, Mohammad Hussein Nakha’i, is being banned of visit and phone call by judiciary authorities with no reason.

Due to his age, Mohammad Hussein Nakha’i needs continuous medical care and from other hand, all his relatives are in Tehran. So, being banned of visit and phone call has made his family in worry and trouble.

Mohammad Husein Nakha’i, 85 years old Baha’i citizen from Birjand city was detained in May 2012 with the charges of propaganda against regime and being a member of Baha’i Community and was sentenced to 3 years in prison by local revolutionary court.

He had also passed five years in prison in Gonbad in the first decade of the Islamic Republic Regime for his faith.*

Younes Aghayan on Hunger Strike in Solitary Confinement

Younes Aghayan, ethnic prisoner sentenced to death who was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, is on hunger strike from that day.
Younes Aghayan, a follower of the Yari faith (Ahl-e Haq), ethnic prisoner who is sentenced to death, was transferred from Mahabad prison to solitary confinement in Urmia prison. He is on hunger strike from the day he was transferred to solitary confinement. There is fear of his execution.
Younes Aghayan is a follower of the Yari faith (Ahl-e Haq) from the village of Ooch Tappeh, near Miandoab. In October 2004, police raided Ooch Tappeh village to remove signs with religious writings of Yari faith. When villagers resisted the raid and confronted the police, Younes Aghayan, 21, and another Yari faith follower by the name of Mehdi Ghassemzadeh (Aghayan’s uncle) were arrested. In January 2005, the two men were put on trial by Branch Two of Mahabad Revolutionary Court, and were sentenced to five years in prison on charges of “carrying ammunition and arms,” and to death on charges of “armed resistence against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” After the Supreme Court confirmed the sentences, Mehdi Ghassemzadeh was executed in 2008, and Younes Aghayan has remained on death row inside Orumiyeh Prison since then. Mehdi Ghassemzadeh was executed without the knowledge of his family and his court-*appointed lawyer, and according to the source, his body was never returned to his family for burial.

Behrouz Alkhani, Political Prisoner Close to Execution

هرانا؛ بهروز آلخانی زندانی سیاسی کرد در آستانه اعدام Death sentence of political prisoner, Behrouz Alkhani, was confirmed in Supreme Court and he is close to execution.*
Behrouz Alkhani was arrested in 2009 along with 15 men convicted of cooperating with PEJAK.
After several months, he was convicted of murdering of Khoy’s attorney general and was sentenced to death.

His verdict was confirmed in Supreme Court.
He has passed 1 year and six month in jail and most of this period, he had been held in solitary confinement in Urmia’s intelligence office.
“He has been tortured a lot; his leg had been pierced by electric drill and his hand’s fingers been broken, his head been hit by electric shocker and so on.” Behrouz’ brother told. به خواندن ادامه دهید

Reza Shahabi, the Treasurer and Executive Board member of the Syndicate of workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company has gone on medicine and hunger strikes on Dec 17, 2012 for the third time.
Reza Shahabi in few recent months had gone under major surgery of his neck and at the present he suffers from several health problems such as back pain, disc disease and neck pain and according to doctors diagnoses he requires immediate surgery yet again.
Shahabi was taken to (Imam Khomeini) hospital on December 15, 2012 but the jail guard accompanying him refused to allow him for proper examination and forced Reza, with threats of beating and assaulting him, to go back to prison. به خواندن ادامه دهید

Iranian-American pastor imprisoned in Evin, Iran, without notice of chargesSaeed Abedini, a 32-year-old Iranian who is a U.S. citizen and a Christian convert has been imprisoned without notice of any formal charges while visiting his family in Iran.
Saeed Abedini, is currently awaiting trial at Iran’s notoriously brutal Evin Prison, where he has been incarcerated since late September.
He lives in the U.S. with his wife and two young children, was making one of his frequent visits to see his parents and the rest of his family in Iran, his country of origin and where he spent many years as a Christian leader and community organizer developing Iran’s underground home church communities for Christian converts.

Reza Shahabi, an Iranian labor leader imprisoned since June 2010, went on hunger strike on 17 Dec 2012 to protest against Reza Shahabi, Iranian Imprisoned labor Activist Begins Hunger Strikemistreatment by jail guards as well as prevention of his medical treatment by the judicial authorities.

Reza Shahabi’s physical conditions have deteriorated. He has announced that he will refuse taking his medication and eating food until he is allowed to be transferred to a hospital outside prison for complete treatment.

Mr. Reza Shahabi who had gone under major surgery of his neck, and according to doctors’ recommendations was in need of at least “two months rest at home”, and “incapable of withstanding any further punishment,” was sent back to Ward 350 of Evin prison on August 14, 2012. ساناز تفضلی، شهروند بهایی ساکن مشهد جهت اجرای حکم دادگاه به زندان وکیل آباد منتقل شد.*
یک شهروند بهایی ساکن مشهد به نام «ساناز تفضلی» که طبق رای دادگاه تجدید نظر به شش ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود در تاریخ ۲۱ آذر ماه ۱۳۹۱ جهت اجرای حکم خود را به دایره اجرای احکام، معرفی و بازداشت و جهت اجرای حکم به زندان وکیل آباد مشهد منتقل شد.هرانا؛ ساناز تفضلی، شهروند بهایی جهت اجرای حکم روانه زندان شد
یادآوری می‌شود در حال حاضر بجز نامبرده شش شهروند زن بهایی دیگر در زندان وکیل آباد مشهد محبوس هستند که اسامی این شهروندان بهایی عبارتست از: سیما اشراقی – رزیتا واثقی – ناهید قدیری – دری امری – نیکا خلوصی و نوا خلوصی.

Iran: Still no explanation or justice for blogger who died in custody

*The mother of an Iranian blogger who died in custody was among those attacked by security forces today at her son’s graveside, prompting Amnesty International to call once more for a thorough and impartial investigation into the 35-year-old’s death.
Sattar Beheshti, from Robat Karim south-west of Tehran, was buried on 7 November.  According to officials he died in the Cyber Police detention facility on 3 November.
Security forces and men in plainclothes reportedly attacked mourners on Thursday as they marked 40 days since his death – which in Iran closes the traditional mourning period for the deceased.
It appears that Beheshti’s mother was injured in the assault and there are reports that one person was arrested.
The attack came amid ongoing harassment of the blogger’s family members and concerns about the independence of investigations into his death. به خواندن ادامه دهید
